UPDATE: Man accused in stabbing facing additional charges

CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - A man accused of stabbing another man appeared before a judge Wednesday afternoon to answer that charge, and several more.

Craighead County District Court Judge David Boling found probable cause to charge Noah Wright, 35, of Bono with first-degree battery; aggravated assault on a family or household member; commercial burglary; criminal mischief; and theft of $5,000 or less but greater than $1,000.

Wright is accused of stabbing a man during a domestic disturbance Friday night in the 900-block of Craighead County Road 111 off of Highway 91 then running away.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for surgery. No word on his condition at this time.

Deputies arrested Wright early Monday morning and took him to a local hospital for treatment of dehydration, according to Captain Justin Rolland of the Craighead County Sheriff's Office.

Court documents revealed Wright also admitted to a Saturday night break-in at Carting Complex, 3141 W. Parker Rd., and stealing more than $1,300 from the register while drinking a Dr. Pepper.

Boling set his bond at $100,000 cash or surety and ordered him to appear in circuit court on May 30.
