Man arrested in Parkin shooting

PARKIN, AR (KAIT) -

A Crittenden County man faces multiple felony charges after his recent arrest on suspicion of shooting a woman, Parkin police said Tuesday. 

Joseph Coleman of West Memphis was arrested in connection with a March 25 shooting at a home on Autis Street in Parkin. According to a police report, Cross County deputies and Parkin police went to the home and spoke to the victim. 

The victim, who was shot twice in the chest, was lying on her back in the corner of the living room, police said, noting Coleman was also at the home. The victim also told police that Coleman shot her with a black gun. 

Coleman was arrested on suspicion of first-degree domestic battery, aggravated assault, and felon in possession of a firearm.
