PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) -

An opportunity to teach children about doing good deeds for other people provided another opportunity for the children.

Pay It Forward Paragould worked with Barnes and Noble to give out 300 copies of Clifford's Good Deeds to children at Paragould Primary School.

In addition to giving out the free copies of the book, group members went to each first-grade class to read the book to children. Dustin Rumsey, who is the president of the group, said the opportunity provides children with a lifelong lesson.

"We believe that doing good deeds and acts of kindness can change the world and schools as well. So, we always wanted to do and go and reach kids at a young age, teaching them that doing acts of kindness," Rumsey said. "Even small things, like saying thank you, or opening the door for somebody can make a difference."
