WYNNE, AR (KAIT) -

A Wynne man faces multiple felony charges after investigators said they found meth and a machete inside his home.

Cross County sheriff’s deputies, along with Wynne police, executed a search warrant Friday at a residence in the 200-block of Tennessee Street.

According to a news release from Sheriff J.R. Smith, 28-year-old Elmareo Speed was living in a shed located at the end of the driveway.

Detectives detained Speed and a woman who was with him, then searched the structure.

Inside officers found “numerous drug paraphernalia, scales, and a white rock-like substance known as ICE or crystal meth which weighed at a total of four grams,” Smith said.

Investigators also found a crossbow and a machete.

Deputies arrested Speed on suspicion of two counts possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with the purpose to deliver, and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.

On Monday, Speed appeared before District Court Judge Mike Smith who found probable cause to charge him and set his bond at $150,000.

Smith ordered Speed to appear in circuit court on May 17.
