JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A third suspect has been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of the Valero gas station in March.

Cordes Tavon Thomas, 21, of Osceola, was arrested Wednesday afternoon on a bench warrant for his involvement in the robbery.

Jonesboro police say on March 8, Thomas and Monqrea Buchanan walked into the Valero gas station at 1708 W. Nettleton, around 8 a.m. and robbed the cashier and a customer.

Buchanan and Lindrica Goldston, who police say was the getaway driver, were both arrested in March.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Buchanan admitted to the police in March that he and Cordes Thomas robbed the store. Goldston told police she drove the two men to and from the gas station to rob it.

Thomas was charged with aggravated robbery, a class Y felony. If convicted, he could face 10 to 40 years, or life, in prison.

Thomas appeared before District Judge Tommy Fowler Thursday.

Judge Fowler set Thomas' bond at $500,000 cash or surety. His next court appearance is May 30.
