JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A traffic stop in Jonesboro landed one man in jail for the third time in less than three weeks.

Officer Dustin Smith pulled a car over Wednesday afternoon driven by Bobby Posey.

Posey, who had a suspended driver's license and was on active felony probation, was arrested, along with passenger Thomas Henry.

Inside the car, officers found a small amount of suspected methamphetamine and a half-smoked marijuana cigarette.

Posey claimed ownership of a red duffel bag located inside the vehicle. Police found a counterfeit $100 bill inside the bag.

Posey was charged with possession of meth or cocaine, less than two grams, forgery, possession of a schedule VI substance, and driving on a suspended license.

Due to his string of recent arrests, Posey's bond was set at $150,000.

During his probable cause hearing Thursday, Posey requested a writ of habeas corpus from District Court Judge Tommy Fowler.

Posey told Fowler the items in the car belonged to Henry, not him. "It's not my contraband," Posey said. "Why hold me hostage?"

Judge Fowler said the writ of habeas corpus was something he could take up with a circuit court judge at his next court appearance on May 30.

Henry was charged with possession of meth or cocaine, less than two grams, and possession of a schedule VI substance. Henry's bond was set at $1,500. He's also back in court on May 30.
