JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Two Jonesboro Animal Control officers helped save a mother duck and her ducklings from getting hit by some on-coming traffic.

According to a post on their Facebook page, a woman called and told them she saw the family crossing on Wilkins Ave. behind Kroger.

She told them the mother duck had already been hit by a car once but seemed okay.

The officers stopped traffic to get the ducks to safety.

They took them to their new home at the Crowley's Ridge Nature Center.

Gr8 job to the officers in helping out some animal friends in need.
