Man killed in crash while riding bike in Jackson Co.

JACKSON COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Arkansas State Police say one man died after a crash involving a bike occurred Friday night.

According to a crash report from state police, it happened on Stegall Road in Jackson County shortly before 9:00 p.m.

The report states 68-year-old Billy Womack was riding his bike when he was struck by a 2008 Cadillac heading west.

Womack was still laying on the road from the first incident when, according to the report, a 2013 Toyota, also driving west, struck Womack.

Womack was taken to Unity Health in Newport where he later died from his injuries.

The report states the weather was clear and roads were dry at the time of the crash.
