JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Many residents made their way to Trinity Church on Saturday to kick off Easter celebrations.

The Church that sits on Highland Drive in Jonesboro held its annual “Easter Eggstravaganza."

At no cost to the community, parents and their children joined in on the celebration that started at noon.

Kids played games, enjoyed food, got prizes, and of course, hunted Easter eggs.

Helicopters swarmed over the church and dropped more than 50,000 eggs from above as kids scrambled to snatch them up.

One Region 8 child called the day a successful one.

"I got on rides and I got on the jumpy thing, we ate and we are waiting to get some Easter eggs and stuff,” one girl said. "We've been going on bouncy houses and playing games and winning candy."
