Sheriff investigating after 6 dogs poisoned

ST. FRANCIS COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - An Arkansas sheriff is investigating after at least six dogs were found poisoned.

Colt resident Steve Roberts talked with CNN affiliate WREG in Memphis about his dogs missing on April 8. The next day Roberts went looking for them.

He found his four dogs on St. Francis County Road 363 dead. They were about half a mile away from his home.

"There was a poison pan next to my dogs, with this residue left in it," Roberts told the TV station.

The station reported about another similar incident where she found her two dogs dead in the same area with a pan of meat and poison in it.

St. Francis County Sheriff Bobby May told WREG they believe the poison is Temik and that someone is mixing it with food.
