Billboard honors Osceola football legend

OSCEOLA, AR (KAIT) -

A man who had success on the football fields in Osceola, A-State and the National Football League was honored Saturday. 

A billboard recognizing Maurice Carthon was unveiled on Arkansas 140, near I-55. Carthon played football for the Osceola Seminoles and the then Arkansas State Indians, before heading to the fledgling United States Football League. 

Carthon, who played fullback, also played football for the New York Giants and Head Coach Bill Parcells, winning Super Bowl XXI.

    According to a Facebook post made by the Cross County Sheriff's Office, a preliminary autopsy report was released Tuesday regarding two infants who were found in a suitcase near a ditch last week.
