Child battling brain cancer receives surprise from trooper

WEST MEMPHIS, AR (KAIT) - A brave little girl battling brain cancer was stopped briefly by an Arkansas State Police trooper.

Smiles were issued instead of tickets as Olivia described her mother being pulled over on her "Optimistic For Olivia" Facebook page. Her family was stopped in West Memphis.

Trooper D. Arnold, according to the girl, gave them stickers, bears, and he even let her wear his hat.

Olivia is fighting medulloblastoma brain cancer, according to the Facebook page. She is receiving treatment at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis.
