Services Set for Crash Victims

JONESBORO - Funeral services are set for all five of the Jonesboro residents who died in a plane crash late last week.

A visitation and funeral were scheduled Monday morning at St. Joseph Cathedral in Baton Rouge for Chris Blanchard and his 7-year-old daughter, Colby.

A memorial service for Dr. Coy Mac Boyd, Sr. was also scheduled Monday morning at First Baptist Church in Jonesboro.

On Wednesday, a memorial service will take place at First United Methodist Church in Jonesboro, honoring Dr. Robert Landry.   The service will begin at 4 p.m.

A memorial service is also planned Wednesday for Nettleton teacher Dayna Banks at the Nettleton Performing Arts Center.   Doors will open at 5 p.m.  The service will begin at 6 p.m.

The crash happened near Baton Rouge, Louisiana Thursday night during an attempted landing in a private plane.  The plane bounced off the runway then nose-dived into a sugar cane field and exploded in flames.
