GREENE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - The Greene County Quorum Court approved a bid to replace the gutters on their courthouse.

Greene County Judge Rusty McMillon said the gutters on the roof are 20 years old and have caused considerable water damage to the building.

The quorum court approved a bid for $50,000 to replace nearly 700 linear feet of gutters.

"Think it is important to take care of what we have and what we own here in Greene County," McMillon said. "If we can do a little bit to take care of it and keep it well maintained, it is going to last us far a long, long time."

McMillon said when the project to replace the gutters are complete, he hopes to move forward with replacing ceiling tiles and other renovations.

He said those will come over the next couple of years.
