A Better Region 8 Guest: 'Home Fire Campaign Mega Blitz'

The American Red Cross serving Northeast Arkansas celebrates 100 years of service to our community this year.

To recognize this milestone we will be installing free smoke alarms through the Home Fire Campaign Mega Blitz.  – a day of installing hundreds of free smoke alarms and helping families create an escape plan in the event of a home fire.

Did you know that every day in Northeast Arkansas someone loses their home to fire?

Sadly, injuries are often sustained and even worse, there may be a loss of life.

Unfortunately, we see this all too often in NE Arkansas.

The American Red Cross is committed to reducing the number of home fire injuries and deaths by 25% by the year 2020 through the Home Fire Campaign.

Red Wolf athletes, local fire departments, community partners and Red Cross volunteers are teaming up to strengthen our community and save lives.

Join us on April 29th at St Bernards Auditorium where you will have the opportunity to volunteer your time installing smoke alarms, make a financial contribution.

Our goals are to install over 1000 alarms and to raise $100,000 to support this and other Red Cross services.

For 100 years, the American Red Cross has been helping our Northeast Arkansas neighbors.

Over 200 lives have already been saved through the Home Fire Campaign; together we can save hundreds more.

Join us, any way you can, to make A Better Region 8.
