Police search for armed and dangerous shooting suspect

POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KAIT) -

Poplar Bluff police are looking for a suspect in a shooting that took place Friday afternoon.

Police responded to a shooting on Highway 60 just east of Highway 67, according to a news release from the Poplar Bluff Police Department.

The victims, a 23-year-old male, 26-year-old female, and two female juveniles ages 1 and five from Poplar Bluff, said the female victim’s ex-boyfriend, Michael D. Jackson, 34, of Poplar Bluff approached her vehicle and showed a gun.

Jackson shot the vehicle four times.

The two juveniles, who are Jackson’s children, were in the back seat of the car in their car seats.

Poplar Bluff police need the public’s help finding Jackson. He was last known to be driving a black Buick SUV and is known to have ties to Columbia, MO.

Jackson is considered armed and dangerous.
