JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A group hosted an event Friday to help caregivers learn how to better provide for Alzheimer's patients.
Alzheimer's Arkansas hosted the Hope for the Future event at Community Fellowship Church.
Tutors and vendors provided resources for attendees.
Jana Wineland with Home Helpers said this event shows people how to take care of patients around the clock.
She said time is precious to people who are caring for someone who needs constant supervision.
"A lot of time we don't have that information because we are taking care of our loved ones," Wineland said. "So this can actually help them take home information so they can read it later."
Alzheimer's Arkansas is hosting another Hope for the Future event in Newport on August 18.
