Success residents evacuated over flooding concerns

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Residents of a community in Clay County are being evacuated due to flooding concerns.

According to Sheriff Terry Miller, mandatory evacuations are happening in the community of Success.

Those displaced are going to the Corning community center until further notice.

Clay Co. Judge Mike Patterson said officials expect that sometime Wednesday, Highway 62 by the Corning Y area will be closed because of high water.

However, Patterson also said it is likely they will let residents of Success back into their homes sometime tomorrow.
