(RNN) - A man who was among those responding to a car overturned in flooding Texas waters is sharing dramatic video and the story of rescuing a baby in the vehicle.

Warning: The Facebook video below contains language that some might find disturbing.

The rescue took place 10 miles north of Canton, TX, near Myrtle Springs. Myrtle Springs is located east of Dallas, in east Texas.

The baby and several passengers were in a car that was submerged top down in waters off a Texas road over the weekend. Several people jumped in the water to help the occupants out of the vehicle as rain from a storm pelted the rescue effort.

Once the baby was pulled from the vehicle, Tom Mitchell said the child was not moving and limp.

“The infant is white, going blue-ish grey,” Mitchell told WFAA.  “This baby is gonna die if we don’t start CPR fast. Having a negative feeling coming over me. This baby may not make it, this baby may not make it. No reaction, nothing is happening.”

At that time a woman started praying fervently. “In the name of Jesus, let her breathe Lord,” the woman said. “Give her breath Lord. In the name of Jesus breathe in her Lord. In the name of Jesus, give her breath.” She continued her prayers while people tried to help the baby.

“Well the first prayer she said, I felt a response in that child,” Mitchell said. The baby was revived and taken for medical treatment.

The father in the family said on social media that the baby is doing much better, and the plan at the hospital is to see if she can soon breathe on her own.

Mitchell said he is telling others about the inspirational story to show what good can be achieved when people, even strangers, pull together.
