Baxter County Airport Changes Name to Reflect Regional Aims

JULY 6, 2005 - Posted at 3:58 p.m. CDT

MOUNTAIN HOME, AR - The Baxter County Regional Airport in Mountain Home is changing its name to Ozark Regional Airport.

Airport Authority Chairman Richard Sheid says the name change will help people in surrounding counties consider the airport their own.  He says it will improve service by increasing traffic.

The change was approved by the Baxter County Quorum Court.  The airport will have a marketing campaign with the theme.
