Police: Nephew kills uncle in Baden neighborhood during argument

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Police have identified a 57-year-old man as the victim of a recent homicide in St. Louis's Baden neighborhood.

Frederick Thomas was shot and killed in the 1200 block of Gimblin around 11:20 a.m. on Saturday.

When officers arrived on the scene Thomas was found inside a home, unconscious suffering from gunshot wounds. 

Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Homicide detectives investigating the incident discovered the suspect, Jason Westbrook, 33, is Thomas's nephew. Police said Thomas and Westbrook were involved in an ongoing argument when Westbrook shot his uncle. 

Westbrook is charged with involuntary manslaughter and armed criminal action.
