DAVIESS CO., KY (WFIE) -

A medical helicopter was called to a crash in Daviess County.

It happened after 1:00 p.m. Monday on Browns Valley Red Hill Road in Utica.

Deputies say a 14-year-old boy was driving an ATV westbound, when he went off the side of the road, over corrected, and crossed the center line.

Deputies say the ATV hit a car that was heading east, causing the ATV to flip several times.

A 13-year-old passenger was thrown from the ATV and had to be flown to the hospital.

The ATV driver was treated on scene. The driver of the car was not hurt.

Deputies tell us neither the passenger nor the driver of the ATV were wearing seatbelts or helmets.
