CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Donnie Wahlberg, who is an actor and a member of the boy band New Kids on the Block, visited the Waffle House on Queen City Drive Wednesday night and left a unforgettable tip and experience for several employees and restaurant guests, according to The Charlotte Observer

The Observer reported that Wahlberg left a $2,000 tip for an $82.60 meal.

Wahlberg posted a nearly 11-minute video of his visit on his Facebook page around midnight Wednesday, according to the Observer.

The Observer says Wahlberg is in town for the New Kids on the Block concert Thursday night at the Spectrum Center in uptown Charlotte.

Wahlberg posted a photo of himself with the Waffle House employees and the receipt on his Facebook page.

“My mom waited tables, and my dad tended bars-- for years!” Wahlberg said in the post. “So, when I walk into a #WaffleHouse, and the staff treats me like a king, you better believe I treat them like queens! Thanks to the team at @wafflehouseofficial Charlotte, NC!”

According to Wahlberg's Facebook Live, he gave a woman named Jasmine backstage passes for both her and her mom. “Who gets tickets and brings their mom? Only Jasmine!” Wahlberg said in the video.

According to the Observer, People magazine reported in June that Wahlberg visited a Waffle House restaurant in Edgewood, Maryland, and left a $500 tip for three servers to split.
