LOS ANGELES, CA (KCAL/KCBS/CNN) – A security video showed two women carrying large bags, walking out of a CVS pharmacy in California.

A store worker ran after them and tried to grab one of the bags.

That's when police said one of the women pulled out a stun gun and popped off a charge, causing the man to back off.

The LA County Sheriff's Department said that the women loaded up their bags with hygiene products like deodorants, expensive make-up and baby formula.

Stuff that detectives said can be easily fenced.

The video camera also captured a third woman running out with a bag after the struggle with the stun gun around 9 p.m. Thursday night.

Patricia Patterson is pharmacist who works for a different store chain, where robberies happen all the time.

"They'll sell it on eBay. They can big mark up where people will steal health care items and sell them on eBay," Patterson said.

Arcadia Police said the women did the same thing at another store about an hour later.

This time the stun gun was used on a security guard.

At Perfection Beauty Salon, near CVS, Natalie Vi and her co-workers said such a bold crime has them worried about their safety when they work late.

"Sometimes by myself with the customer from now on, I have to lock the door after 7 p.m.," Vi said.

The security guard sustained minor injuries, but declined medical attention.
