SPRINGDALE, AR - Tyson Foods, based in Springdale, says the company is looking forward to restarting its cattle trade with Canada.   The Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has permitted the practice to resume.

Tyson says the science based safeguards are in place to protect consumers.  The company said it's waiting word from the U.S. Department of Agriculture as to when it can start bringing meat across the Canadian border.

Tyson is the world's largest meat producer.
