Arkansas Governor to Take Over Top Post in National Association

DES MOINES, IOWA - Beginning today, Governor Huckabee gets to be top dog in the National Governors Association for the next year.

Huckabee is in Des Moines, Iowa, where the governors' group has been meeting for several days.  Huckabee was named to the association's executive committee four years ago, putting him in line to assume the chairmanship today.

The Arkansas governor, a Republican, will take over the chairman's gavel from Virginia Governor Mark Warner, a Democrat.
