Neighboring Businesses React to the Mall at Turtle Creek

July 22, 2005--Posted at 5:00 p.m. CST

JONESBORO--Construction continues at the Mall at Turtle Creek.  Meanwhile, neighboring businesses are preparing for a major boom in business.

“Oh, we’re very excited,” says Larry McIlvoy with the Golden Grotto, “We’re expecting to get a large amount of spill over business from the mall.”

Just down the street from the mall is Jonesboro’s newest car wash.  They’re also expecting a wave in new business.

“Business should be picking up pretty good since it’s just down the road,” Stephanie Crumpton from the Rapido Rabbit said,  “The more business they get the more business we get.”

The mall’s developer, Bruce Burrow, says construction at the mall is going well.  He says within a few weeks, we should know the names of more stores going into the mall.
