WEST MEMPHIS, AR - West Memphis police have arrested two Crittenden County jail employees in separate incidents involving alleged drug violations.

Latoya Bohannon, 23, a receptionist at the Crittenden County Detention Facility, was arrested after police served a search warrant at her home.  Police say they found cocaine, marijuana and a set of digital scales in Bohannon's kitchen.  They also found $1,500 in cash.

In the other arrest, narcotics investigators were told that a jail employee would attempt to smuggle tobacco and possibly other contraband into the jail.  Police later arrested 23-year-old Leroy Miller after stopping him on the road and finding tobacco, rolling papers and marijuana hidden in his pants.  Miller has been employed at the county jail for less than three months.

Both employees were suspended pending the outcome of an administrative hearing.
