Jonesboro Relative of Missing Girl Returns From Search

Jonesboro, AR - After five weeks spent searching for her niece in Aruba, Natalee Holloway’s aunt has returned home toJonesboro.  Linda Allison says her time on the island was marked by frustration and disappointment.

“That frustration builds, because the more you don’t know, the more you speculate what they have or what they may not have.  They [Dutch authorities] may have briefcases or files full of evidence and information, and we just don’t know,” says Allison.

Allison says it was an easy decision to leave for Aruba.  What was difficult was figuring out where to begin.

“Just stepping out and seeing what we were up against with the size of the island only being 20 miles long and five miles wide.  There were so many endless possibilities of where to search,” says Allison.

Even though the island is fairly small, the rough terrain and vegetation has made the search a challenge.

During the time she was there, Linda says the Holloway family has uncovered some good leads.  The problem is those leads seem to result in dead ends.

“Just a total disappearance with no evidence, no signs.  There’s nothing to lead us to believe whether Natalee is still alive on the island, or if she has been moved to another island – if she’s alive or dead,” says Allison.

The Holloway family is holding strong, with the hope that Natalee will resurface.  In the meantime, Linda Allison isn’t ruling out returning to Aruba.
