Murder Charges Filed Against Pemiscot County Man in Wednesday's Fatal Shooting

CARUTHERSVILLE, MO -  First degree murder charges have been filed against a southeast Missouri man following a fatal shooting Wednesday afternoon in Steele.

Pemiscot County authorities say 28-year-old Kory Clay of Steele allegedly shot and killed 21-year-old Albert Daniels after the two reportedly argued over stereo equipment.  Another man, identified as Antonio Amerson, was injured in the shooting and is hospitalized in Memphis.

Clay is being held in the Pemiscot County Jail at Caruthersville, and is also charged with first degree assault and armed criminal action.

    According to the Arkansas State Police, the 16-year-old injured in a shooting outside the Emergency Juvenile Shelter in Marion was shot by police.
