LOS ANGELES (AP)_ "The Sopranos" continue to live. The hit HBO series will not be the target of a hit by its creator just yet.
After the twelve episodes of the sixth season air next year, there will be eight additional episodes airing in 2007.
The sixth season is being filmed now. It'll premiere in March. The eight bonus episodes as HBO is calling them, start airing in January of 2007.
The head of HBO says he knows the "audience would like to see it continue as long as possible." So, he says the network is "thrilled that creator David Chase felt there are more stories to be told."
The fifth season ended in June of 2004.
