BATESVILLE, AR - A 17-year-old Batesville Senior was the only Arkansas student to earn a perfect score on his ACT college entrance exam on the June 11th testing date. Tice Brown scored a perfect 36.
At Batesville High School, there is a Walk of Fame with one plaque for students who earn 24 or higher. There's another plaque for students who score 30 or higher. Brown's perfect score earns him his own space.
Brown will graduate at the end of this school year. He hopes to attend Harvard University and would like to double major in political science and molecular biology. He already takes college-level courses at local community colleges.
Nationally, only 82 or the 365,000 students who took the test earned a perfect score.
