Delta Flight Forced to Make Emergency Landing in Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, AR - A Delta Airlines flight headed from Atlanta to Ontario, California, made an unscheduled landing at Little Rock National Airport over the weekend because the airplane's windshield cracked in mid-flight.

The 757 was at 34,000 feet when the windshield cracked.  There were no injuries reported from the 180 passengers and six crew members.

The reason the windshield cracked was not immediately known, but airport spokesman T.J. Williams said the emergency landing was necessary because of concerns about a potential loss in cabin pressure.

Delta said a second airplane took passengers on to California later in the afternoon.
