Panel Votes to Restructure Army Reserve Center in Jonesboro

LITTLE ROCK, AR - A federal panel voted yesterday to restructure selected Army Reserve Centers throughout Arkansas, including Jonesboro.  It approved the changes in a batch of base-realignment recommendations that include 176 installations in three dozen states.

In yesterday's vote, the Base Realignment and Closure Commission agreed to recommend to President Bush changes for the reserve centers at Jonesboro, Arkadelphia, Camden, El Dorado, Darby, Hot Springs, Malvern and Pine Bluff.
