MARMADUKE, AR (KAIT) - A juvenile has been arrested in connection with an investigation into possible threats being made at Marmaduke High School.
According to a post on the Marmaduke Police Department's Facebook page, the juvenile, who faces a felony terroristic threatening charge, was arrested after police got a call from Marmaduke school officials Feb. 26 about the case.
"Marmaduke Police Chief Steve Franks and Lt. Scott Chambers went to the school and started the investigation into the matter," police said in the post. "A male juvenile was taken out of the school and to the Marmaduke Police Department for questioning. During the investigation and interview, a cell phone was taken into evidence and taken to the Paragould Police Department for a forensic download of the phone."
The post noted that due to evidence that was taken from the phone and the interview with the juvenile, the juvenile was arrested.
The case is still under investigation, police said.
