SOUTHEAST MISSOURI (KAIT) -

Two people, including an ATV rider, suffered serious injuries Thursday in separate crashes.

The first crash occurred at 4:10 p.m. on Butler County Road 606, just east of Poplar Bluff.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report said 44-year-old James D. Talley was driving a 2003 Honda TRX all-terrain vehicle when it overturned and threw him.

An ambulance took Talley to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.

At 5:50 p.m., troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway U, two miles east of Lilbourn in New Madrid County.

Michelle L. Hayes, 36, of Lilbourn was eastbound when her 1994 Ford Ranger ran off the right side of the road and overturned.

Hayes, who was not wearing a seat belt according to the crash report, was thrown from the truck.

She was flown to Regional One Health in Memphis with serious injuries.
