A-State hosts Pack Preview Day

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Many high school students enjoyed taking a look around the Arkansas State University campus on Saturday.

A record crowd attended the Pack Preview Day event, which included campus tours, academic information sessions and more.

Current A-State students spoke to the high school students about campus life and various departments.

One college ambassador said the College of Science and Math had more than 200 visitors.

She said college ambassadors worked to inform students about various majors.

"Taking them to our labs and our lectures, showing them all about our college and how important it is to go to our college to become a doctor a dentist wildlife biologist, whatever you're looking to do," said Stormy Weiand. "All the students have been involved, parents have been asking numerous questions and we have enough people here today to help answer all of those questions."

The event also included time for students to meet A-State faculty and hear about other campus activities like Greek life.
