$150,000 bond set for man accused of rape, sexually grooming child

CROSS COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - A Vanndale man is being held on $150,000 bond following his arrest on suspicion of rape.

Saturday, while investigating an alleged sex crime involving a child, two Cross County sheriff's deputies arrested 33-year-old Daniel Scrape.

According to a social media post from the sheriff's office, Scrape is currently being held on suspicion of rape and sexually grooming a child.

He's also being held on suspicion of criminal use of a prohibited weapon, possession of meth and drug paraphernalia, after investigators said they found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia on his person.

He will receive a separate bond on the drug charges, the sheriff's office stated.
