CHERRY VALLEY, AR (KAIT) - The National Weather Service in Memphis states a tornado also moved through Cross County during a stormy weekend two weeks ago.
According to the NWS, an EF-1 tornado started just south of Highway 42 about five miles west of the town of Cherry Valley causing damage to two farmsteads.
One family's home was destroyed in Cherry Valley as Region 8 News reported days after the storms.
The tornado then traveled northeast about three miles through open fields before taking a single wide trailer off its foundation, the weather service said.
It lasted about five minutes before ending four miles northwest of Cherry Valley.
The storms spawned multiple tornadoes with varying strengths.
