Four teenagers were hospitalized after a tree uprooted and came down on them.

It all happened Tuesday on a windy afternoon, according to the Stuttgart Fire Department.

STUTTGART, AR (KARK/KAIT) - But even with the wind Joe Minter and his friends couldn't be stopped from playing a pick-up game of basketball.

"We hang out every day, I come out here every day. As soon as I come around the corner I see the tree. It just like falls on my friends," says Minter.

The tree came crashing down pinning two of Joe's friends underneath it.

An adult nearby called 911 and then Joe rushed over to save them.

When the ambulances got there one of the boys was unconscious and another boy's leg was turned in a way it should be.

Still in shock, this 15-year-old thanks God for his safety and prays for his friends to pull through.

Officials did not release the teens' ages or extent of injuries.

We do know at least one of teens has been released from the hospital as of Tuesday night.
