Elderly man dies after crashing into fence

HOWELL COUNTY, MO (KAIT) -

An elderly man has died after he crashed into a fence in Southern Missouri.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Robert E. Booth, 74, Pottersville, MO, was driving a 2003 Dodge Caravan east on Route K in Howell County.

At around 2:40 p.m. Thursday, Booth was about a mile from Pottersville when he went off the road and drove into the fence.

The report states Booth wasn't wearing a seatbelt.

The vehicle was totaled in the crash.

This is MSHP Troop G’s ninth deadly crash so far this year. That’s up from two this time last year.
