Director of Alcoholic Beverage Commission Plans to Retire, Seek House Seat

ARKANSAS CITY, AR - The director of the Alcoholic Beveral Control Division says he'll retire next year and run for a seat in the state House of Representatives.

Robert S. Moore, Jr. of Arkansas City plans to run for House District 12.  The district includes Chicot County, and parts of Arkansas, Ashley, and Desha counties.  Representative Randy Rankin cannot serve another term because of term limits.

Moore has been director of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Division since 1987.  He says he wants to serve in the Legislature to work for job creation, better roads, educational opportunities, agricultural development, historic preservation, and other issues.
