CROSS COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

The Cross County Sheriff’s Office has released new photos in the hopes of identifying twin infants found dead in a suitcase.

In a social media post Tuesday, the sheriff’s office asked the public to contact them if they know of anyone who was pregnant but does not have a child.

They also released photos of several items found at the scene.

The items included red Polo pants with an elastic waistband, a purple Hi-Pak semi-hard top suitcase, and an orange gym bag with “Tigers 3” stitched on the side.

Investigators ask that if anyone recognizes the items or may have embroidered the bag, to contact the sheriff’s office at 870-238-5700. All calls will remain confidential.

Deputies discovered the infants’ bodies last month on a ditch bank along County Road 602.

Their bodies have been sent to the state crime laboratory to determine their sex and cause of death. It has since been determined one of the victims was a male.
