PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) -

The Paragould School District announced plans ahead of a day of demonstration around the country following the deadly school shooting in Parkland, Florida.

A post from the school district's Facebook page states that on Wednesday, March 14, high school students participating in the National School Walkout will be dismissed to the high school auditorium at 10 a.m.

Students will be allowed to go there to "show their respect for students who have been affected by school violence and to support the importance of school safety."

In light of "false accusations" against the school, the district stated no students will be suspended for participating in the walkout.
