ST. FRANCIS COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - A St. Francis County man was arrested this week after he reportedly tried to meet a 14-year-old girl for sex, police said Wednesday night.

Ron Kimble of Forrest City was arrested March 13 on suspicion of Internet Stalking of a Child after an undercover investigation by the First Judicial District Drug Task Force.

According to a post on the agency's Facebook page, Kimble was communicating with someone he thought was a 14-year-old girl.

"Kimble told the girl that there are some 'weirdos' on social media and to be careful. Over the next several days, Kimble attempted to groom the purported underage female asking if her guardian allowed her to date and complimenting her looks," officials said in the post. "Kimble asked if she likes 'older guys' and asked for a 'provocative' picture. For clarification of his intentions, Kimble messaged, 'I'm not trying to be a perv. Lol. You just turn me on."

Kimble then reportedly sent pictures and descriptions of his genitalia to what he believed to be the girl and agreed to meet her at a truck stop in Palestine.

However, DTF agents and Palestine police were there to arrest him, police said, adding Kimble was a convicted felon and not allowed to own weapons.

Officers later searched his home and found a 12-gauge shotgun, meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, the post noted.

More charges are expected in the case.

A $150,000 bond was set for Kimble, who was being held in the St. Francis County jail Wednesday.
