'Uber Eats' branches out to Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK, AR (KAIT/KATV) - The ride service, Uber is now bringing their food delivery service to central Arkansas.

According to KATV, "Uber Eats" launched in Little Rock on Wednesday.

The service allows an Uber driver to deliver food to customers in North Little Rock, West Little Rock, and parts of Sherwood.

The company has already partnered with 60 different restaurants in the city.

Don Dugan who owns Dugan's Pub was glad the company reached out to him. This is now the second food delivery service Dugan works with.
Two other food delivery services already serving the Little Rock area is Chef Shuttle and Bite Squad 
Dugan added that it allows his business to expand to get food to customers, allowing for growth.

"It's another revenue stream for us," Dugan said. "It's something that we're happy to have and it gives us another opportunity to get our food out to other people."

Uber says that it’s drivers who also deliver food are trained in food services and do not deliver while taxying passengers.
