BROOKLAND, AR (KAIT) - Jan Morgan, who is seeking the Republican nomination for Arkansas governor, held a meet and greet event in Brookland on Thursday.
She spoke to a crowd of around 20 people at the Black Iron Shooting Range.
It was her second stop in Northeast Arkansas, as she also held a luncheon in Paragould Thursday afternoon.
Morgan says she was looking forward to sharing some of the reasons she's chosen to run with the public. Morgan also said she was in favor of reducing the number of state agencies, which is something incumbent Gov. Asa Hutchinson said he was looking into.
"We are regulating our businesses out of business," Morgan said. "We are taxing our citizens into poverty and we are enslaving our citizens with entitlements. Well de-regulation and cutting the number of agencies, those are things I've been talking about on the campaign trail for months."
She will be in Pocahontas on Friday at the Christopher Corp Building from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
