'Pub Crawl' raises money for Jonesboro HUB

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Ahead of Saint Patrick's Day, Region 8 restaurants welcomed pipes and drums to entertain their guests.

Jonesboro Firefighters Pipes and Drums performed across Jonesboro to raise money for a good cause.

The group held the 7th annual St. Patrick's Day Pub Crawl Friday.

They played for multiple crowds and collected money to be donated to Jonesboro's Helping the Underserved Belong, or HUB.

Pipe major Korley Martie said this year is special because of the cause.

"This is the first time we're doing Jonesboro HUB," Martie said. "In the past, we've done Children's Hospital, Sharehope, and we've also done the Miracle League."

The group said they enjoy this lighthearted way of giving back to the community.

They made stops at Upper Crust, J-Town's, Doe's Eat Place, Godsey's, Skinny J's, and Brickhouse.

They hoped to raise around $2,000 for the HUB.
