PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) -

Two people were in custody after leading police on a two-state pursuit early Sunday.

According to Greene County Sheriff David Carter, Greene County deputies got a call around 2 a.m. Sunday from Kennett police about a pursuit. Greene County deputies assisted and police tried to stop the vehicle on Highway 412 near Walmart.

Carter said the vehicle went through the parking lot and struck a deputy's vehicle, then crossed the highway to a nearby car wash. From there, the vehicle headed back to the Walmart parking lot and struck another deputy's vehicle. However, authorities were able to stop the vehicle and take the pair into custody.

According to an incident report released to Region 8 News, 28-year-old D'andre Detrez Brown will face aggravated assault, fleeing, and possession of controlled substance charges in Arkansas. He has a hold from Kennett police.

The passenger, 24-year-old Kelli Greenway, had a warrant with the Greene Co. Sheriff's Office for felony revocation of probation. According to jail records, she also has an out-of-state hold.
