(KAIT/NBC) - Spring officially begins tomorrow.
You may be ready for its arrival, but can you say the same about your lawn equipment?
Those mowers, hedge trimmers, and weed eaters may need a check-up.
Don't wait till you need it, says Paul Hope of Consumer reports.
Don't try to crank the engine until you know what's inside.
"The reason for that is the fuel in there may be stale and trying to start it up will circulate it through the gas lines and through all the starting parts and make it much harder to deal with," Hope said.
Hope says draining the old gas might be necessary, especially if it has too much ethanol in it.
